Built by a parent in the passenger seat.
Snaplates started with a flimsy L plate on a hot Perth windscreen — and a parent who decided the sign protecting his kid should actually work.
Snaplates started when our co-founder became the parent of a learner driver, and got tired of plates that fell off, needed re-sticking at every swap, and disappeared after dark.
Sitting beside a learner, you realise how much depends on other drivers actually seeing that plate. When they do, they give more room, more patience, and more time. That shared understanding makes the road safer for everyone — but it only works if the sign is visible, and the old stick-on plates fail exactly when visibility matters most: at dusk, at night, in the rain.
So we built the sign we wished existed: mounted once, visible always, and easy enough that you never skip using it. One display unit, snap-in inserts for every licence stage, and LEDs that switch themselves on when the light drops.
Snaplates is designed in Perth, Western Australia, and shipped Australia-wide.

Three ideas behind every unit.
Visibility is safety
A plate other drivers can see buys a new driver room, patience and time. That's the whole product in one sentence.
One unit, every stage
Learner to red Ps to green Ps with one purchase. If it's easy to keep using, it actually gets used.
Built for Australian roads
Designed in Perth for hot windscreens, long summers and family cars shared between licence stages.
Stay seen. Stay safe.
One unit, every licence stage, visible day and night. Shipped from Perth, Australia-wide.
